Melissa received her Master’s degree in Public Policy and Administration from California State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida. She is a career Clinical Research Professional© with over 15 years of experience in clinical research administration. She has conducted over 150 site assessment visits in accordance with ICH throughout the US and abroad in the UK, Australia and Canada. She worked under Dr. Fauci as a quality assurance research advisor to NIAID medical officers on infectious diseases. As an undergraduate, Melissa received acknowledgment for her data collection in a peer-reviewed journal article[1].
Melissa’s leadership experience has been demonstrated in her support for municipalities through activism and service. In 2018, Melissa severed as the healthcare committee chair for the League of Women Voters, Sarasota and was a member of the administrative advisory council at the University of South Florida from 2017-2019. Currently, Melissa serves on the healthcare advisory board for Harford County public schools. Melissa is the Senior Manager for Research Compliance and is committed to the quality assurance for all clinical trials. Melissa is a LERN© Certified Online Instructor and will support the office through assessment and training for all MFA conducting research.
